Our youth strive to live out our church’s vision of “Growing Disciples of Jesus in Faith, Hope and Love” within their group.
Vision: What do we want our Youth Group to become? A fellowship of youth comfortable with our Christian faith… A fellowship continually growing toward becoming faithful adults… A fellowship that openly shares and, when necessary, defends our faith… A fellowship that draws us closer to each other through Christ…
A fellowship that produces strong Christian leaders in the church, community and kingdom of God…
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. I Timothy 4:12
Mission: What experience do you want every fellowship? • Hear and speak the Word of God • Openly talk and embrace learning about religion, God, Christianity, and our faith • An environment that encourages and deepens our faith • A demonstration of God’s love for each other • Support each other through words and actions • Inspiring to active participation in the church and God’s kingdom • A safe, uplifting, peaceful and fun place • See role models • Connect with God and leave with a Godly feeling
Beliefs/Values: How do you want to be treated? Treat others? •Everyone is welcome! •Each individual is free to interpret scripture in their own way and will be listened to with openness and respect. •The Golden Rule works – treat other as you would like to be treated. •Everybody (youth & adults) deserves to be treated with respect and dignity including their property. •Treat each other with maturity and admirable behavior, as we believe Christ would want us to do. •We are called to serve others. •A relationship with Christ leads to the Fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. Philippians 1:27 - Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.
